I still don’t get how anyone can hate this movie. A comic masterpiece.

Scorsese’s movies never get credit for how funny they can be. The Irishman is littered with gems like this

This is such a great scene because, as madly funny as it is, it establishes their friendship and mutual respect, so, in retrospect, it makes the ending so heartbreaking. Scorsese understands that comedy and tragedy are two parts of the same coin. Of life itself.

I love when he starts going on about Kennedy’s father it almost looks like Pacino lost the line but because he was still in character he just twisted to make it seem like Hoffa was so pissed that he couldn’t get the words out. Took me a few tries but I love this movie lol

Do I like it more than Goodfellas? No. Do I think it’s a better movie? Yes. Yes, I do.

Then watch it in sections. Vast majority are seeing it on Netflix, where they binge Stranger Things.

I really do need to get my head out of my ass about the de-aging effects and watch this movie.
