95 percent of airmen never leave the ground, unless it's an "orientation" flight on a tanker or such. Still, us 95 percenters do the work so the 5 percent can rule the sky.

We ate well, slept well, and had awesome support services. Good enough for me to call Fort Carson a $hithole, lol

One of my best decisions, in a long life, was to enlist in the AF!

Christopher, going to tell you, I do not regret single second of my Air Force career

Fly fight win!

I had a chance to be an SP dog handler in the Air Force but my dumbass decided to be a combat engineer in the army instead. I'm a fucking moron.

AirForce was a great life

12-14 hr days to keep these babies goin was a grind. It made it worth it seeing my lady make it back. Maybe a little roughed up from time to time but we did our best to make sure our crews came home.

SPECTRE ON STATION

One of the easiest and best decisions I ever made.

Former 1A051 (In-Flight Refueling Specialist) from the KC-10 era sounding off! Air Force is the way. Fly. Fight. Win. Shout out 9ARS. 🫡🇺🇸

I did 6 years in the Army before going into the Air Force. I regard my Army experience very highly, because if I weren’t Army first, I would have never properly appreciated the Air Force.

Didn’t even show a single office chair. Good on them

Loved it and miss it

@xscorpius56 Best 23 years of my life

I did. Smart decision!

Retired Army here, son of an Air Force NCO & private pilot who raised me in the copilot seat of a Cessna. Before he pinned my Airborne wings on, he asked… “Why? You know how to fly for Christ’s sake. Why jump out of an airplane?” “Dad, I want to be an Airborne Ranger!”

I started out in the Army Guard as an infantryman then as an MP. I heard that the Air Guard was a little better, and did a branch transfer. My MOS was the only one that I didn't have to go back to school for, and the AF took me into the Security Police.

Chairforce means something different when that thing is moving 1,000 mph

I hear ya. One of my older brothers went Air Force and did the rotc thing. KC-135’s out of Germany except for 2 years in NoDak. You should see his beer stein collection.

I loved working on this bomb truck.

I loved my 24 yrs in the Air Force. More good days than bad.

@NGorhamA4S4 Smartest thing I’ve heard you say. 😉

Yes, but can they land on 3.5 acres in the middle of that water?

I transferred from Army Reserve to Air Force. Best decision ever.

Bad ass.

The Air Force's 'we own the sky' is just a twist on the Army's 'we own the night' is it not?

It’s not bad, if you don’t mind the room service, alcohol, or hawt chicks… Not for everyone.

Nah, then you'd have to spend the rest of your life explaining why you didn't join the military.

Enlisted in the Army, then got a degree, and took a commission in the Air Force. Flew a desk! Lol, no regrets.

And the best jet pilots are in the Navy and the best chopper pilots are in the Army. That said, the A-10 pilots are the patron saints of all who fight on the ground.

Don't worry, I did

It took 5 years in the Army to establish the foundation for my 15 years in the Air Force to be exceptionally rewarding. Happy to have served in both.

I joined the Air Force stayed for 23 years. I should have been a Cowboy.
