i still think about this

May deserved so much better. I can’t believe she didn’t have an official return

The Terracotta Contest was such a cool way to send off May 🥺

What makes me truly love this is the fact that Ash & May have established that they are truly equals, two halves of the same, just on different journeys. It just shows how much main character energy May has & how far her outlook goes towards her dreams!!

I'm really surprised Tomioka brought up the split ribbon, it feels like something the writers would have just forgotten about but to see it brought up like 76 episodes later was very cool.

@pokemon_bb92960 Oh, yeah! The time when Ash and May won in a tie!

I still hate the fact that Ash managed to surpass May's entire journey in one episode with zero experience in contests like there is no reason she shouldn't have mopped him

contest battles are still fundamentally pokémon battles. Ash might not have known how to make a move look pretty but he knew how to counter, dodge, and hit hard forcing her to lose points simply by keeping her on the defensive.

he brought out his ace sceptile and the time ash has conquered the battle frontier. it's a tie. by making it a tie they just simply showed may the student becoming equal with her mentor ash.

and then serena gaslighting Ash 😂

The fact that Ash is still 10 years old after all of this means all these events happened within a month or sum sht.

My favorite moment

@Blast_Chance Definitely. It's been a while since we last saw May. It would've been amazing to have brought her back for the Sinnoh League.

Shortly after this scene- May's Japanese dialogue mentions the ribbon has "always saved her" through her Johto journey. She definitely cherishes it!

Hand heart 🫶 explains that #AdvanceShipping chemistry moment very well. Underrated.

If may didn't retire as a character she would've had better chemistry with Ash, but this moment deepens it so much

A best friend’s token

Wish that was Veronica Taylor and Stuart unless they return in the future.

Bro legit for real genuinely just posted a dub clip 😂🤣😂come on. You think we would watch that??

Love that they both not only kept their ribbon but literally carried it with them in their pocket at all time

as a kid i shipped Advancedshipping so much

i love they both kept that ribbon
