One of the most underrated aspects about 6 month old BTS was the fact that they were already INCREDIBLE live performers. In Seoul Music Awards they performed a ballad remix of N.O for what I think is the first and last time ever. They were always strong vocalists and rappers.

Seth Rogen revealed that many studio executives care deeply about being thanked during award speeches because it’s often the only public recognition they receive for their work. Seth Rogen: And we were like, "Oh, no." And then we interviewed almost every head of every studio, kind of past and present, like in the months leading up to the show, and as we were writing the show, we wanted to get a lot of insight. And it was one of the most consistent things that was said to us was, "You just want to be thanked at an award show, by first and last name." Because, and it makes sense, a lot of people don't realize this, and I didn't even like think about it this way like, their names are not on the movies. Like, and they feel like they've really contributed to them, and sometimes spent years of their lives working on these things. But if you work at the studio, you don't get your name in the actual credits of the movie. And unless someone like Googles who was the head of the studio during the years that movie came out, no one would ever know you had anything to do with it. Without a doubt one of the largest and most impressive dinosaur shows I’ve seen. The sheer size and realism they were able to pull off was astounding. Also keep in mind this is the carnivore only show, they have even bigger herbivores if you can believe it. #dinoalive

Wizkid boycotted the BET Awards because they gave awards to African Artistes on a lower stage from 2011 to 2017. African Artistes who won the award weren't televised live in USA either. In 2012, Wizkid won a BET Award at age 21 and didn't show up due to this. In 2015, he called them out for still doing this. He was in Los Angeles, where the awards show was taking place and refused to show up due to the disrespect. Yemi Alade and Fuse ODG also boycotted the 2015 BET Awards. They started presenting the award on the main stage in 2018.

The legendary Club Black show in New York. I was there with my gf Susanna at the time, it was standing room only and we were at the front of the stage. I remember Dave Chappelle was there in the audience as well. Prince was in a good mood that night, as he had just finished the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance a few hours earlier. Someone in the crowd had a sparkler that kept changing colors, which prompted Prince to show off his lucite heels that would display multiple colors every time he took a step.

Congratulations to Doug Yates on receiving the Spirit of Ford Award. It is not attached to the base and almost was dropped as Edsel Ford II presented it. (The only time it was actually dropped was by Parnelli Jones I am told at the Detroit Auto Show.) Whew good catch! Huge award and so earned by the great Doug Yates!
