I study militant queer activism in America and am working on two different books about the subculture. Here’s why I’m fundamentally skeptical of the “trans symbols” on the Charlie Kirk assassination weapon. It’s not something violent militant queer activists would say.

Vice President JD Vance torches Democrats for excusing violent rhetoric in the wake of the Charlie Kirk attack: "Look, I think the far left has completely taken over that party. In particular, what bothers me is their rhetoric around violence. If you look at the way, in the wake of the Charlie Kirk assassination attempt, that these guys were justifying it and making excuses for it — most of them weren’t explicitly endorsing it, but many of them would say, ‘Well, Charlie Kirk said some controversial things.’ And I would say, as his friend, so what? They organized their ultra violent gathering under the name “Trans Day of Joy and RAGE.” The @FrontlinesShow team was immediately attacked within seconds of being on scene. They destroyed our camera lens and assaulted me and my security.
