I suspect this will have an astronomically bigger impact on how people positively perceive cities and “density done well” than anything a city planner like me will ever say. Thanks Taylor Swift. #DensityDoneWell #TaylorSwift

Recently, images of a record-breaking audience size (96K) for Taylor Swift’s concert in Melbourne Australia went insanely viral. What seemed to break brains was that the stadium in central Melbourne wasn’t surrounded by a massive sea of parking. Instead, there are trains & trams.

@taylorswift13 If every #Swiftie became a city lover, educated about the real cost and implications of out-of-control suburban sprawl and car dependency, our world would change for the better almost overnight! Or at least the politics of cities vs sprawl would. #TaylorSwift

@taylorswift13 Hopefully her fans will become vocal and active in making cities more livable. Whatever works!

@taylorswift13 What a poetic way to describe life in the city. I can complete relate. Today I was coming home from the gym, and passed by a concert stage, where an amazing jazz band was performing. I found myself sitting for 3 hours and enjoying the music.

@taylorswift13 I have tweeted this clip before. It's from 2019. But I reckon your one will get more traction than mine 😂

@taylorswift13 She articulated the “Why” … this is something that YIMBYers have failed to do.

@taylorswift13 Our new favorite Urbanist!😍Can't wait for the "Density Song" on Spotify!🤣🤞

@taylorswift13 The biggest “city planning rock star” and the biggest actual rock star, teaming up! #TaylorSwift
