I think about this scene from Ed Wood on probably a weekly basis.

More indie filmmakers should look up to Ed Wood than some of the popular choices. Getting stuff made on time, under budget, looking at the big picture more than every tiny detail, and having a great time while being liked by your crew? That's the life baybay.

My dad actually worked with the real Dolores Fuller before she died. She didn’t like her portrayal in the film, especially because she didn’t leave Ed for any of the reasons depicted in it. It was because Ed couldn’t stop drinking. I do love this film, though.

the absolute best that both Tim Burton and Johnny Depp ever did. lighting in a bottle of a movie

Genuinely a perfect film. Wild that it doesn't have broader recognition..

She's correct that the movies are terrible, but that does not mean they are wasting their lives. Ed is living his best life. Maybe that isn't the best of all lives, but it's better than most people's lives. You know what's worse than making a bad movie? Never making a movie.

I mean considering this is probably how the spouses of 90% of the creators of the films you guys watch for Best of the Worst act when they realize their spouse mortgaged the home to afford the funding for the movie, this really is art begets life.

I think about this movie everyday

“Don’t get goofy on me!”

Lol I’m guessing that thought pops into your head just as y’all are firing up the third film of a best of the worst session.
