I think arrowhead will take away modding sooner rather than later. #helldivers

The community when Arrowhead refuses to add or fix highly requested features and bugs. Seriously, if they didn't ignore the community like they do, this wouldn't be as big of an issue. I can install 4 mods and fix the last 3 years worth of imbalance and bugs.

A lot of these mods are to fix long standing issues that ArrowHead won't for whatever reason. That led people to discover you can edit pretty much anything and immediately made mods that are out right cheating. If ArrowHead listened to community feedback we wouldn't be here.

either arrowhead can nuke modding, or they can do what lethal company did and detect and display when a lobby is modded with a list of what mods it has (which I think would be the best outcome for all of us)

Instead of banning all modders/mods how about they just ban the people that are hacking in super credits? The only thing lamer than someone cheating is the dev team punishing everyone for a small group of people.

If I can't use the Helldiverized armor mods I will just straight up quit the game. I cannot fucking stand these garish armors and capes in the vanilla game. ALL armors should be mostly black, slightly yellow, and very rarely have white unless it's a cape.

Mods have genuinely fixed this game in so many ways besides just cosmetics. I’m not saying cheat mods are okay, but there are plenty of improvement QOL mods added that have genuinely made the game better.

I'm not surprised that this could happen with the amount of overpowered mods I've been seeing. all of this because one person has opened the flood gates for the modding community.

TLDR: Cheaters ruin the game for everyone once again.

Arrowhead is going to become one of the most hated studios if they take away modding and refuse to implement popular changes.

I admit I'm not a programmer I don't know how hard these things are: But wouldn't the most logical "everyone wins" solution is simply have the game check for altered files and have said altered games continue to run but without contributing to the Galactic War?

I personally use a lot of SFX mods and some model replacers for weapons, if someone wants to use a gameplay altering mod they should be put on their own lobby where they can only invite friends and the mission has no effect on the galactic war

Last match I played I saw some dickhead in a solo tank. It’s infuriating. It’s one thing to do silly exploits that are VANILLA like the headless glitch but it’s another to mod a helicopter into a public lobby or solo pilot a tank and ruin the match. Fucking losers.

Just give us customisation features and non of this would have been a problem to begin with (apart from the ones that straight up make you a space marine and op as fuck) I just want transmog and colour customisation

People should stop playing if they do. The mods fix the game they refuse to fix. Its an embarrassment to them, yet instead of fixing their game they will undo People having fun. Fuck them.

Maaan if they Ban modding I will be honest I'll probably be done. The 1st Person mod and a few other cosmetic mods really do change the immersion in my game.

The problem is that there are two types of mods: visual ones that don't affect gameplay beyond a funny skin—like the automaton robot—and then mods that alter the game to give you an advantage. That latter group is basically like hacking Super Credits, since you gain advantages

Most of the mods people like to use are client side so AH has no way of touching those, but if its the LUA/script mods they can probably introduce a new anti-cheat to combat it but even then it will eventually be bypassed. Its a losing war for them if they event try to anyways.

I hope they will nuke those cheat mods. Visual one can stay tho
