The one thing that every single project is missing is the fact that mining is the most effective way to keep participants on the network. You need to harness the power of other people resources to run the network, and reward them in network tokens. Hardest part is to figure out how to get those tokens back. I have a solution but it’s not some idiotic “let’s make merch” idea.

Many startups find early pull, but only a few break out. Why? They stop at product/market fit and never find business model fit. Business model fit isn’t just about how much you charge for your product, but HOW you charge for it, and how you align customer value with your pricing. There’s a lot of advice out there about seat-based vs. usage-based vs. outcome-based pricing, but all of that is just noise. The search for business model fit is as specific to your company as the search for product market fit. You need to align your acquisition strategy and monetization strategy with your customer and product. It’s all one interconnected system. Take Slack for example: many associate Slack’s early success with its fun, creative design and fresh approach to communication. That’s what drew people to the product. But a big part of what made Slack a breakout success was business model fit. Freemium wasn’t just an acquisition tactic, it was essential to driving the revenue flywheel, viral expansion, and adoption in the enterprise. This has been one of my biggest bets of 2026 and we are starting to see the tide shift towards favoring Ownership tokens. I think Credible has just tipped the scale and proven that MetaDAO is the best option for revenue generating companies to go to market. This is quickly becoming extremely appetizing to liquid funds and traders, and equally as appetizing to projects looking to raise and bootstrap a massive amount of attention and initial distribution. Great companies are now choosing to ICO on chain rather than raise from venture. After a year of legwork, chewing glass, and proving out the model, it truly feels like we are in the early stages of an exponential curve in adoption.

I came away from $ASTS earnings more bullish because the business is moving to actually building the network with revenue roughly doubling sequentially to $32M, backlog reaching ~$1.3B, 13 satellites now in orbit and production already extending through BlueBird 46. With more than $3.7B of liquidity, financing the first phase looks much less risky while the bigger execution question is how quickly ~$610M of quarterly capex can turn satellites, launches, manufacturing and gateways into a functioning commercial network. That spending is what eventually unlocks the model because AST is effectively building a cellular network before turning it on and if service launches on schedule then management’s path toward ~$1B of revenue in the first full year starts to look much more realistic..
