I think I found a faster, recursive algorithm to render Signed Distance Fields (SDFs) more efficiently using less samples. Here's a video with a short explanation. As far as I know this is novel? Curious to hear your questions/feedback.

i found out i can render with python so i wrote a script that looks at a vslice formatted chart file (as well as any nearby ogg files) and render it as a video!!! might be useful for charters to showcase, the file size for this whole video was just 8 MB!!!!
