I think I just found my next epoxy project. Would you take this as a coffee table?

It's a cool idea, although the AI video makes it look like all the pieces will be sized and located perfectly with one hammer blow.

I think either way it breaks, it would turn out cool looking. My only question is how you get the glass to stay in the right position while adding epoxy

I never worked with epoxy that thick, and I can't think of how to make the mirror pieces all sit perfectly flat on the same plane, which I think needs to happen to make it a top tier project. Maybe using glass on the bottom and sitting the mirror pieces directly on the glass.

The tables I did with wood were even hard to keep the wood in place.

I've only ever dome it with wood and a solid piece of wood at that. Mirror pieces that can move around would take a lot of prior planning and probably a couple of failures for me to figure out. I would consult someone who's done a ton of them before making the attempt.

The way the glass broke so uniformly, I'd say this is AI trash.

It might be AI, but the concept of this table is awesome. Even if the glass doesn't break perfectly you would have a great table.

Why wouldn't this exist. You could build it.

At first it was a mirror, not see through. Then add epoxy and not only does it suddenly become see though, but it also has blue accents through out. Not to mention the mirror was only about 1/4" thick, but now the break look is nearly 2" thick. It would be near impossible to duplicate whatever this is supposed to be. And 100% not by any means shown here.

@ColorApril That’s not the same project at the end. I do custom furniture professionally, and this isn’t an easy task to complete. Just putting it out there

Ok, I’ll try it. Can get cheap mirrors at the Habitat store… next weekend’s project.

I might be changing my mind about epoxy tables. I always said I hate them, but I keep finding ones like this that I actually really like.
