I genuinely wonder what made Nintendo make mario into paper and into a rpg. And result is actually really good as I adore the look, I find it funny this is its own niche genre

I think it was because of hardware limitations at first but they ended up sticking with it... In my case it's because I didn't had the skills to make good 3d models so I stuck with 2d art and it used to have white outlines! I'm glad you like how it looks thank you so much ^^

Ngl at this point there's only two attacks but the system I use make it sooooo easy to add more... So ATM it's gets old very fast but I don't plan on keeping things this way 😛

Would highly reccomend the special attack "Favour of the War God" used by the Ancient Mace from OSRS as a potential reference point for any stronger mace attacks that cost MP or have a recharge

Thank you so much!! But you can in fact dodge and parry every attack! The battle system is design so you can technically finish the game without receiving any damage! I'll go into details later tho. Also you should really give your idea a try
