They never know when it's time. I adored Ella Fitzgerald. I went to see her at the Burlington (VT) jazz festival decades ago. She was awful. I left with a broken heart.

I saw him 2 years ago in Hershey, PA and he was FANTASTIC!!! Las Vegas style show, great band, backup singers & dancers! He didn't stop the whole time & you'd never know he was 78 yrs at the time!

People need to evolve - he hasn't. You can't dress/act like you did in your 20s and 30s when you're 80. It's that simple. It's called 'age appropriate' attire. Just picture a new, normal hairdo and a classy suit instead. THAT'S the problem. I hate it when people try to act young when they aren't anymore. Madonna does this. Cyndi Lauper does this - it's just sad.

What’s wrong with this performance? I saw him about six months ago and thought he was great. His vocals were good. His band was amazing. The place was packed. If he is having fun doing it, he should go as long as he wants.

Nope. I've been to 4 of his concerts since 2016, he is one of the best entertainers out there. This video doesn't do his concerts justice.

I went to see Bob Dylan in the London Palladium a couple of years ago. Honestly the worse concert I’ve ever been to. I should have known that an 80 something year old is well and truly past their prime, just like Rod and many others are.
