When I talk to young people, what I hear from them, they feel like the only way they can stay in the city is if they keep living with their parents or leave the state entirely. Summertide should be banned completely in Kenya. How can our young people openly engage in sexual acts in public spaces, and nobody is talking about it? If I keep quiet, who will expose this moral decay in our society? We must protect the younger generation. To all parents, before you send money to your sons and daughters, especially this weekend, make sure you know where they are and what activities they are participating in. The videos circulating online from Malindi are deeply disturbing. If they are authentic, they appear to show young men and women engaging in unprotected sexual activity in public, with some scenes suggesting one young woman involved with multiple men. Such reports should be investigated by the relevant authorities. As a society, we cannot remain silent. We all have a responsibility to protect our children, uphold public decency, and promote values that safeguard the health, dignity, and future of our young people.

We have guardrails, and those who work in the legal profession are the essential ingredient that interposes itself between a free people—that’s what you are—and its government. If we are seeking to be our best and get better every day how should we think about that, and how can we understand our forward progress? I don't know what Ramp will look like exactly in 100 years but I think just as it was true 100 years ago people always wanted more out of every dollar and more out of every hour, I think people will absolutely still want that in 100 years —in whatever form that may take.”
