I think one element from the discourse is missing, and it's the final note on the moment here. How you feel about the moment is subjective. But Jammerz isn't one to just say something with no context, and didn't make the incorrect call here. The full context:

Jammerz is good, but this was Itabashi’s first win in front of his home crowd and the call paid no respect to the moment. The winning moment of a match was reduced to ‘that dive kick was ass’. It’s ok to call that out.

That’s also very fair. But he talks about the excellent play from itabashi during the replay. This is only a clip from the entire post analysis that he did. An I think folks got stuck on a single sentence and didn’t listen to the whole conversation.

Yesterday, three Israeli hostages were freed—battered, thin, and forever changed. Even in the darkest moments, the will to survive endures. 💙 What does resilience mean to you? Drop a word or phrase in the comments. ⬇️ #KalmanAndLeopold #NeverForget

There's discourse about this? He's right

Some folks are upset that he said 'terrible' here and didn't immediately provide why, or thought he could have chosen his words better, or took this as the opportunity to say that the criticism from him is too harsh. How is subjective. Ultimately he was right, I'd say the same.

This is exaggerated, we need more commentary like Jammerz

I think Jammerz is super on point this tournament

"he was right" doesn't matter tbh. Everyone can see it was a bad dive kick and as a commentator your job is to point that out, yes, while also saying why that decision was made or praising Itazan for not flinching. Saying what he should have done instead is also not great imo.

That’s what people are mad about? 😹😹

I heard about this and had no idea what could people possible mad about. Then I saw the clip and remembered what I felt when heard it live, and it was like: I totally agree, that's probably one of the worst divekicks I've seen in a while. And that was it.
