"I think she ate a Mexican" never gets old

I was trapped beside a man who was so large he literally pressed against me the entire flight. I was mashed against the window. There were no other seats open so I was stuck. He oozed his sweat and body odor all over me, it was so disgusting and strong I was almost in tears. When I got off the flight, I smelled like him - it was ground into my clothing. I went to the airport manager (I live in a smaller town) and said - I paid for my seat. He said yes, I said I expected to be the only one in it. He looked confused and then I said SMELL ME - he looked even more confused, then the flight attendants walked past and I pointed at them and said ASK THEM what happened. They came over and had a few quiet words with him and he refunded my ticket. I know it sounds bad but there should be a size restriction per seat. If you don't fit in the seat without taking the space someone else paid for, well....

"You know nothing about me by the size of my body" We all know you can't control yourself around food...

As someone that reached 260lbs (female) 20 years ago, I have to say FAT SHAMING is good. Our population needs to police each other to make better choices. No, not everyone needs to have a model bod, but when you get to that size you contribute to the drain on limited healthcare resources & these types of issues. Why should normal sized folks have to deal with this?

Shame is an important and much needed component of a healthy society.
