Nope! Not in this house! They were raised the way I was raised! There were absolutely zero participation trophies given in this house! Now I have two respectful and driven young adults that are responsible and career minded. Hell, my oldest (17) just bought his first truck! Not because he had to, but because he wanted to! Not all of us Gen X parents when down that pansy path!

She makes an excellent point. Discipline in the US is non-existent, I raised my daughter under strict discipline, respect for herself and others. She'd turned out to be an outstanding person!

@Aquaticnovena1 I remember trying to explain to my first and second grade children that participation trophies were meant to turn a generation into communists. They just voted for Trump in 2024, so I guess they heard something.
