I think the Michael Jackson biopic is going to do astronomically well because MJ is so unthinkably popular. You and I cannot comprehend how famous Michael Jackson still is today. I will always be a fan of MJ’s music because he cared deeply about his art. I’m ready for... show more

In the US it’s performing shockingly well for a movie not even at it’s major promotional stage yet, most of the pre-presales 30 days out are on track to sell out across major markets.

On my list of top 5 most anticipated movies of 2026. There has never been and will likely never be a bigger entertainer!

MJ is a God who lived among us mere mortals

@MJRock4everOn #MichaelJackson #Michaelmovie Well said!! 👏 Can't wait! 😎

Still got 60 million listeners per month which is #30 worldwide. Been dead for over 15 years. Imagine how many listeners there’ll be when the biopic drops. This is the type of movie parents will be dragging their children to and forcing them to watch

@TatumMari I agree. I can’t wait.

He cared deeply about the WORLD.. that’s why he’s beloved. His art was a vehicle for what he truly cared about. He said it himself. That’s what set him apart from narcissistic artists who only cared about their art. He was the biggest artist, and even bigger humanitarian.

Same, I cannot wait & it looks great so far. My hot take box office prediction is 1.3-1.5B. I've seen on here & everywhere the global love for MJ. I even went to Jamaica back in Sept & our resort had an MJ impersonator 😁👏

@LolaC29231110 Oh my goodness the face card. 😩♥️

He has fans who haven't even been born yet.

Honestly, same. Michael Jackson’s level of fame is something else entirely like global icon on another level. His music still hits today because you can feel the passion in it. The biopic is definitely going to be huge 🔥

A fan of his music yes The kiddy fiddling….. not so much

People don’t understand, but they will. It’ll net $2billion.. they’ll even find a way to make a sequel

Oh yes the #52 artist on Spotify today is some “unthinkable popularity” I can’t even comprehend it. 🤔😂

Are we ready for Michael, folks? Michael is here - get your tickets now. Let's GOOOOOOOOOOO!

#MichaelMovie

I think it will too. His nephew Jaafar looks and acts just like him in the trailers. Jaafar is Jermaine’s son.

When I first heard Man in the Mirror, I knew then that man would be famous the world over. It was an amazing song and he was an amazing performer who gave absolutely everything he had to his craft & to the performance. He truly was “The King of Pop”

Same here

Yea he was kinda freaky with kids tho so I'm out

Couldn’t care less about any film because it’s not Michael

What else can be said about him that hasn’t already been said a million times over in countless other films & documentaries?? It’s just profiting off his name at this point🤷🏻♂️

I really hope the moral core of the movie is : The human psyche was never designed to cope with the trauma of fame and the more famous you are, and the younger it happens the more likely it is that terrible things happen - despite being a brilliant musician, performer & writer

"He cared deeply about his art"...one of the most nail on the head statements to ever be posted on X.

It looks like a wayans brothers parody, fucking horrific

I once ran into Michael at the shopping center. I asked him, “what are you doing here Michael?” He said, “I heard little boy’s pants were half off.”

Definitely the world ain't ready , Michael Jackson was and artist that was in a league of his own. This movie will showcase the talent this genius had. @michaeljackson the greatest entertainer followed globally amongst all races and ages

I prefer reading books or watching the original footage, which gives true authenticity opposed to recreations which can’t help but put a different slant on things. Nothing can compete with something like the Get Back project overseen by Peter Jackson or Baz Luhrmann’s EPIC.

Do you know that Martin Scorsese directed the Bad music video?

And to put his popularity and fame into perspective, if the #MichaelMovie does as well as we think it will, what other music bio pics is going to break the #MichaelMovie's box office records? While before there was always this, well if they did that, "What would an MJ film do?"

Pop and classic. Made me think of West Side Story (1961) on its base.

I get it, but, OOTOH, biopics make me cringe b/c the actors can never capture the same lightning in a bottle.

I often say he was probably the most famous person in the world at his height

Pass...
