Rubin clearly doesn't understand (or at least won't say it in front of regular people) how the demand pull and cost push cycles of inflation work. Ask Grok Inflation was caused when Biden did the big infusion in 2021. They created more $ than goods available.

Trade policy needs a reality check. Look at the data: US manufacturing declined 25% under outdated agreements while China captured critical supply chains. Meanwhile, targeted tariffs helped recover 400,000 American factory jobs and $120B in domestic investment. The fentanyl crisis shows the cost of weak borders. Customs seizures jumped 300% after enhanced screening. That's not politics—that's protecting communities. Market volatility? Standard adjustment period. The S&P 500 gained 12% since tariff implementation, proving strategic trade enforcement works. Bond yields stayed stable at 3.8%. Real reform means modernizing trade rules for today's economy. Oh it’s just terrible we tariff Canada, poor babies, look what they have done to us as per grok: - **Milk**: Approximately 270% - **Cheese**: Approximately 245% - **Butter**: Approximately 298% - **Chicken**: Approximately 230–238% - **Sausages**: Approximately 70% - **Barley Seed**: Approximately 57–58% - **Bovine/Meat**: Approximately 26.5% - **Cars**: Approximately 45% - **Televisions**: Approximately 45% - **Steel**: Approximately 25% - **Aluminum**: Approximately 45% - **Copper**: Approximately 48% These figures are often cited in discussions on platforms like X and reflect Canada's high tariffs on supply-managed goods (e.g., dairy, poultry) and certain industrial products.
