I think this is one of the most powerful Adverts ever. So Nostalgic it pulls on all the emotions. The Music as well is wonderfully beautiful. 🇬🇧

One my early jobs was at Rank Hovis and I was fortunate enough to know the chap who wrote the advert.

Covert war glorification slop. Modern adverts with Megan the Stallion and Machine gun Kelly are unironically better.

I was chosen to be the Hovis boy, on the bike, I didn't accept the role, because I didn't want my hair cut! 🫣Nowadays, I don't have any hair.

Yeah and it's built upon conveniently forgetting the 3 day straight firebombing of Dresden and severeal other German cities. God knows how many women and children burned to death. Cities with no military installations. Indisciriminate bombing . War crimes
