He will treat Putin with the utmost respect until he feels an appropriate agreement has been reached. This will continue after the agreement has been completed. The quality of analysis here is so low. Watch for two key indicators. The Fed cutting off European swap lines The Trump admin 180’ing on their stated aim of $50 oil target. As it stands, Europe has eventually complied with Trumps -long-term- request of them upping military spend. Russia hasn’t panicked because it’s under the guise of reaction - not escalation. Trump being perceived as being erratic and pro-Russian has seen his oil target, coincidentally 35% below Russia’s breakeven, completely missed. As it stands, Ukraine is fine with Trumps mineral deal and as of two hours ago, Russia said it was ready to talk.
