@LTGHRMcMaster Except the Supreme Court gave him total immunity for any official acts and he will be surrounded by yes men who swear an oath of loyalty to him instead of the constitution. There will be no guardrails and it is beyond naive to suggest otherwise.

@LTGHRMcMaster Luckily, if you just elect the other person that doesn’t want to do all those things you don’t have to worry about whether someone else could stop him later. There does not exist a weaker argument than “he wouldn’t be able to do these things.” Okay. So why should I let him try?

@LTGHRMcMaster Seems like the checks on presidential powers are being undermined by SCOTUS & Trump has learned to install only sycophants who would be loyal to him over the constitution. Few real checks on his presidential power s would remain.

BREAKING: Former Trump Chief of Staff just went on Fox News and torched Donald Trump saying he will sent Americans $5,000 checks. "I don't think it's going to happen. The math I ran was about $1.3 trillion. I'm not sure how they would do it legally. You can't spend money unless Congress appropriates it. Maybe there's a way to do it through tariff revenues, maybe, but that's only $300 billion. And if you actually did it, it would simply be inflationary. Too much money chasing too few goods is all you do, throw more money into the system. All it's going to do is increase inflation. We saw that on the tail end of COVID. So the good news is I don't think anybody really believes it, Stuart. I mean, we've heard about these Trump dividend checks since he came in office in the second term. I'm not sure what the administration is doing. I'm not sure what the campaign is doing. In fairness, I think it shows weakness."
