I thought this joint was gonna go platinum

Did in my house. Triple platinum!!! A certified bop!

This how black I like my music and my artist

Radio hit different back then. HITS didn't have to go platinum

That joint was 🔥 but there were so many good songs around that time I could see where it would get lost a bit but it had to be top 5 around that time.

@SnypezWest I still play this liked it just came out 🔥

It went triple platinum on the LA radio airwaves. This song was in heavy rotation and on every mixtape CD when it came out. I still love this song!

@CarolinaConect Remix went platinum tho

An absolute CLASSIC. Shit went platinum in my boombox with the 5 disc changer and detachable speakers tho.

I used to catch this video daily on BET. This is a dope record.

Loved this album

It did in all of our hearts and DVDs players watching How High lol

The stories she told about how this actually played out would make any sensible human want to leave the industry as a whole. This record had POTENTIAL

It didn’t??? Cus thats shit was on repeat then and still gets played from time to time in 2026

TEN MILLION PERCENT THIS JOINT!! Jonell shoulda blown the fuck uppppp from this song! It was SO DAMN GOOD that the rapping on the remix takes away from the song!! And I LOVE Method Man remixes 99% of the time! This might be the only song EVER where it's like "ehh, original wins".

I ain’t heard this in years! 🕺🏽🤸🏾‍♂️

I love this song. What a perfect song..

I play it in my R&B sets all the time. I also feel like Hi-Tek doesn’t get his flowers enough for the producer that he is

It didn’t?? I feel like I remember this song being big

This was a hit! Just because them people didn’t say it was doesn’t mean it wasn’t.

Definitely went platinum in my house😮‍💨🔥

at least we got “surrounded by hoes” from it which is the superior song

It goes platinum at every get together I go to

It didn’t? Did in my house

that’s that vh1 soul. this song, k-os, the roots… that channel put me on to a lot of gems

@esstieeee It did but there’s no record koz we might have bootlegged the cd 🥹🥹🥹🥴

The original version without Meth way better

Did it not? I still listen to this jawn

Memory unlocked 🤯

@Mayberrykush Went platinum in my house

Mannn this was my shyt still is. That beat her cadence

it went platinum in the streets but it def should’ve been way bigger

Mom dukes spun this 1 with the candle burning laying the baking soda on the carpet before she swept 😂

I miss this era of music

@therealbwest21 I loved this beat so much
