I wanted to check how I felt about the Yankees after April last year as a reality check because they were 18-13 and in first place come May 1st. But when I went through old texts, I was down on them from the jump last year. I was talking about the rotation being shallow, the Devin problem and the quality of baseball being just as sloppy as 2024. I pulled every 'bad play' and error from April of last year to compare and... yeah they have definitely played a better brand of baseball defense this season. Look at these plays all in April

Apparently Messi won TWO FIFA THE BEST AWARD for two straight years because of one World Cup. As in, they loved him so much they felt he deserved to win the award twice after finally winning the World Cup. Meanwhile Haaland that won a treble with Manchester City in 2023 calendar year after losing Ballon D’or to Messi had to watch Messi win the the FIFA THE BEST AWARD for playing in MLS and doing absolutely nothing. Pathetic stuff. Mind you, these pundits are huge Messi fans but even they were in shock!
