Read 100 paywalled research papers for free every month! You don't even need a university account to do this. Here's how to read paywalled papers on JSTOR for free: 1. Go to jstor(dot)org and click on "Register" in the top-right corner. You can register with your personal Google or Outlook account. Or, you can create a JSTOR account manually. 2. Once you've logged in to your JSTOR account, click on "Workspace" in the menu bar. Then click on "Create folder." Choose a name for your folder and click on "Create."Creating folders in Workspace is a great way to keep your papers organized. 3. Type in the keywords in the search bar to find relevant papers. JSTOR willl give you a list of papers. To read a paper for free, click on "Read online." You will see a preview of the paper. Scroll down a bit and click on "Read Online" again. 4. If you find the paper super-relevant to your project, click on "Save" on the top of the article. Choose the folder you just created in your Workspace and save the paper in it. If you go to your Workspace, the paper will show up in the relevant folder. 5. You can also take notes on papers in your Workspace. To do so, click on the "Add Note" button under a paper and start typing. Click on "Save" to your save your note. 6. I can't stop thinking about this... Michael Caine on his defining philosophy on life: Use the Difficulty As a young actor, he was rehearsing a play scene when a chair got stuck in the door and blocked his path. He told the other actor he couldn't get by the chair to enter the room in the scene. The award for the app with the worst Apple Pencil experience has to go to Notability. Truly the worst notetaking app you can waste your money on. They built their own custom drawing system instead of using PencilKit out of the gate leading to the worst implementation of writing with Apple Pencil ever. Here’s a video of me trying to take notes with the new iPad Air + Apple Pencil Pro and I can’t get more than 5 words before it either erases a previous stroke or letter or glitches out and connects multiple strokes leading to a mess. 0/10 would not recommend. An absolute waste of money for a horrible, frustrating experience

Q: 'What's the point of you drawing when AI can do it better and faster?' A: It's the act or feeling of doing something creative that IS the real outcome. Not the drawing others see. I think that's what keeps most artists learning - the feeling and mental state the drawing generates while you do it. Equally, if you want to skip that, you go for it.

✨ Added client-side OpenCV to my drone sim that watches the drone video feed in-game and tries to detect people, it's messy and wrong all the time (like real OpenCV running on a shitty radio connection) It's starting to look pretty real and with multiplayer it's becoming actually really fun marc-antoine had a tip to let people walk to an X on the map to pick up a drone, which they can then use to fly around, then if it crashes/shot, you lose it and you have 0 drones That forces you to walk around the map to collect drones, which give you an advantage, but while you walk you're obviously at risk Also I added night mode now and you get a flashlight, but other players can see you use your flashlight and spot you And added a 4G tower and sksycraper you can climb and hide in :D

in summary, drawing is a journey! I also struggled on this piece and i will continue to struggle and that is okay. I think the frieren they drew is beautiful. You can tell there's attention to detail. They understood there was foreshortening and the face had to stay aligned! Anime drawing is quite difficult, because the style simplifies a lot. The shading tends to stay with the nose and neck, so you some planes stay unshaded. You can also apply a soft gradient to show the dip of the cheeks. Because of this, I use a lot of references, from illustrations to animations to real life photos.

It adds a green circular ring portal to every #vibejam game that players can walk, swim, jump, drive, sail or fly through and get teleported to any of the other 1000+ games It's like a mini meta verse for vibe coded games to teleport through Last year it was a bit buggy because me and s13k had to manually manage all the games added and games would start 404'ing quickly This year it works differently and is fully automated: the Vibe Portal tracks which games send traffic to other games, and based on that sends traffic back to them, so automatically if a game doesn't send traffic, it knows either it doesn't have a portal or the portal is not working (like the last fish game in this video) or not shown properly in the game.
