This is the kind of "trailer" you buy when you own the land it's being put on... This ain't a "trailer park" trailer 😂

I bought me a trailer and 10 acres in a nice little quiet spot back in ‘14. Oh and a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup. Spent 85k

I've been making this same comment for many months now. But I'll say it again. As a builder, I can build a gorgeous house, 2,500/3,000 sqft, 3 bed 2 bath, garage with bonus room for under 100,000. That's EVERYTHING included. So your best bet is to either learn the trade, find an honest builder, family or friend, who can build a house. And let them. You can move in immediately if "you're the one who built it" and sell it after 1 year of living in it. That's NC law, idk about the others, but I'd look into it. You can sell it for 350,000 and build something even bigger and better. Or stay in the one you built. It's up to you. Best of luck. The best thing you can do is buy land. Use it as collateral to build a house.

My cousin bought a foreclosed triple-wide in the early 2000s for 32,000. That thing was enormous. Sadly, he was killed in a car accident a year or 2 later in 2004. But we got to enjoy it with him. It had 2 living rooms, like 4 bathrooms and bedrooms. 2 fireplaces, a jacuzzi tub, a huge back deck we built, and a garage with a bonus room we also built. He added a brick foundation underneath, which made it a house. I think they got 80,000 for it after he passed. I don't remember, I was only 18. Point of the story is, you need to look around, there's gems laying everywhere. That house was in perfect condition, and only 30 grand. Trailers ain't the best due to strength and insulation/weather. But you can add what you want to make them better

Man, they’re building them things two and three stories now it’s crazy some of the models they have out 2 x 6 frame walls Drywall. It ain’t no different than a damn house. There’s even companies out there. That’ll let you design your own and they’ll build it. Come on man.

Good If 1 they’re sitting on land that is owned 2 the foundation’s on slate 3 they’re bricked in all around They’re interiors of a home until reinforced Values rise after bricking process When not bricked they depreciate in value Depreciation & Ridicule stop at the bricking

It looks great but how does it stand up to hurricanes, tornadoes, tropical storms?

I have a Palm Harbor modular home and they are really nice. Been thru several major hurricanes, roommates, children, and now grandchildren. 3 bed 2 bath, the whole 9. To be fair, a modular home is nowhere near being a 'trailer'.😅 But I just let people talk. 😂

Mother in law had a Doublewide trailer in Palm Desert. It was beautiful. The whole area was on a golf course. Everybody had these big Doublewide trailers. They all look like big beautiful homes. I was shocked.

It’s only a dream, if you own the land it’s on. If you have to pay lot fees, that can be raised anytime the landowner wants then it’s a money pit.

More like manufacturing home.. but I’m with it. You can definitely make these look like mini mansions.. I worked in homes they are nice as hell I can’t even deny it..

Manufactured homes these days are often better built than stick homes. They're built in a factory, standardized. In 2006 we bought a 2160 sq. ft. home, base price 75K, added 25K in upgrades and it was gorgeous. Couldn't tell from the inside that it was a Mf. home.

Yes, it’s absolutely beautiful, but you have to have land to put that on. You have to hook up a septic tank or city water and don’t forget about electricity costing from the low end of 15 to $36k. So that’s just to set it up. Your best bet is to find land that already has a trailer on it and get rid of that and put the new one on it.

My parents bought our Double-wide in 1997 on put it on 14 acres of land. Come on out to the country, bro. Naples is mostly for retired snowbirds with a 2nd residence in VA Beach or NC mountains.

The only thing with trailers is you have to live in a trailer specific area…and they get run down real quick. Your trailer maybe top of the line but the other trailers in your community may start to age quickly. It’s the environment. And they are just as expensive as a house with foundation now

Tried to convince ex wife we could get a nice trailer+10 acres. She refused bc "I ain't living in a trailer" So instead we spent 220k on a 1960s house 1500 sqft and 7k sqft lot that's smaller and not as nice as these trailers. But at least we can say we don't live in a trailer🙄
