He's talking about the 'impossible' Ferris wheel at the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 that had 34 cars holding 60 ea, or 2160 passengers, ea one the SIZE OF A DINER. Mankind had no way to lift that axle in place at 71 tons in 1800s, it was 👉impossible.

Me too, I need to know!! Regarding the Ferris wheel, 1 was built in Blackpool (my home town) in 1896. The carriages were huge (1 later became a cafe when it was dismantled). These are photos of it being built...apparently

The Erie canal is pretty simple. I grew up playing on what's left of it in southern Ohio. It's not all 40 feet wide. Most of it is more like 20 feet. It was all hand dug by men. The locks were all built out of local quarry stone, and cut by hand.
