also the way he says "happening" is more akin to the SLANG use of happening, which was a 90s synonym for "cool". the way he pronounces it even indicates that (more emphasis on HAP vs EN). the slang just fell out of vernacular so ppl think he means the verb and not the adjective.

I'm so tired of people not understanding the nuances of dubbing & localizing works man. "That's not what the original subtitles say so it's bad!" Nope. There's more to localizing than just soulless translation. Understanding its intention is important. Beautiful. Thank you. 🥹
