JUST IN: Miami police have responded after theories spread online that 10-foot-tall aliens were spotted on New Year's Day which prompted a massive police response. In one video frame from New Years, a tall figure appears to be walking around. The Miami police say this was simply someone's shadow. "What happened was there was about 50 or more juveniles that were shooting fireworks at people. There was also some looting going on, so officers that were on that scene were having a little bit of trouble containing." "So they called what is called the Citywide three, which every officer in the city responded. That's why you saw so much police presence for, for that call to contain that crowd." "Now there is now video going viral of eight to 10 foot aliens walking around Bayside." "It's actually just a person walking with a shadow. “Well, thank you all for tuning in to the first episode of The Jeremy Boreing Show. You know, it's never really been my ambition to have a podcast. For the decade that I was running The Daily Wire, people would often ask me, 'When are you going to get your own show?' And my answer was always the same. 'They're all my show,' I would say. But they're not anymore. Now, if I want to talk to you, I have to do it directly and that's a new challenge. It's not where I thought I would be in life, not where I wanted to be. It's been a huge change leaving The Daily Wire. Not one that I had ever seen coming. But I'm glad to have this opportunity where we might explore some of the issues facing the country and the movement together. You know, I used to say that my mission in life was to fight the left and build the future. And for the most part, that mission hasn't changed but I do see now that there are threats to our freedom, threats to our future that aren't exclusively on the left. Some of them are on the right. The left is still the bigger threat, but you can't defeat an organized left unless you have a healthy right. And so it's incumbent on all of us who believe in the country, who who believe that America is a force for good in the world, who believe in the founding creed of the country that all men are created equal, that we're endowed by our creator with unalienable rights. Life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, who believe in our founding documents, who believe in our constitution, who believe that our best days can truly still be ahead, that we can bequeath to our children a future of freedom, a future of prosperity, and a future of virtue. Perhaps even more so than what was bequeathed to us, it's incumbent that we be the ones building that future. And so today I say that the purpose of this show is to fight for freedom and build the future. I don't know if we'll be a huge show or a small show. I don't know if we'll have rocket ship success like we had at The Daily Wire. I don't know if we'll be a top 10 podcast like The Ben Shapiro Show, The Candace Owens Show, or The Joe Rogan Show… and that's really not our ambition. I mean... The bigger, the better. We'd be very happy. But our ambition is really to be a part of the conversation, a constructive part of the conversation, to remind everyone of the optimism that we're called to in Christ, to remind everyone of our mission as Americans, which is to spread freedom and our mission as Christians, not tribal political Christians who use the gospel as a cudgel, but actual believing Christians. Our mission has always been the same, and that's to proclaim Christ in the world and the power of salvation that comes through the power of his gospel. And so that's what we're going to do together. It's not all going to be politics; it never was. Building the future is about building businesses, it's about building voices, it's about building institutions, it's about building culture, and all of those things are in flux today. Hollywood isn't what it was even a year ago, much less a decade ago. Politics has changed just in the year that I've been out of public life. Machines are on their way. They're replacing jobs, even as we speak. We don't know what the institutions of the future will look like. We don't know what the politics of the future will look like. We don't know what the culture of the future will look like but we know that if we aren't a part of building it, then we won't be a part of it. And so build it, we will, together. This is the first stage. We are now in a situation where it's 10 and 10 plus 20 for fentanyl, so 30% tariffs in the US of China goods coming in, and they can get rid of 20% of it if they solve the fentanyl problem. That they will do with certainty. But we’re not finished there and neither are millions of small entrepreneurs in America that I represent. We need IP law to be finally put into place so that our products and services are protected in their markets the way we protect theirs and ours. So, reciprocal playing field is where we need to go. This is a great first step but it's only the beginning. I want to sell to the Chinese people. I have no problem with them. I have a big problem with their government. They don't abide by the rules. We've known that for a long time and no admin has dealt with China, even after they came into the World Trade Organization in 2000. They've breached every covenant of that agreement so it's important for us to set the tone in terms of how we're going to go forward with China.

This is the first stage. This is a great first step but it's only the beginning. I want to sell to the Chinese people. I have no problem with them. I have a big problem with their government. They don't abide by the rules. We've known that for a long time and no admin has dealt with China, even after they came into the World Trade Organization in 2000. They've breached every covenant of that agreement so it's important for us to set the tone in terms of how we're going to go forward with China.
