🧸 my dream wasn’t actually to be an idol 🧸 i wasn’t studying particularly hard either… i liked playing guitar, but not enough to pursue it as a major… i was the kind of student who liked playing the guitar just as a hobby….so you know how around 8th or 9th grade when you think a lot about your future path…i was really thinking a lot over how my life was going to turn out. and right around that time, i got invited to a performance at an arts high school through my band and i ended up getting scouted at the celebratory concert 🧸 i got cast at mystic & bighit and i actually wanted to go to mystic because i really loved playing the guitar so i was like “dad, i don’t even know what company bighit is…” because this was before the (bts) hyungs became big so i was like “i want to go to mystic” and my dad was like “beomgyu, you’ve practiced the guitar really hard and although you can’t dance…what if you joined bighit, worked really hard and became the center of a part?” and since i was an attention seeker back then 👤 everyone is like that when they’re young 🧸 yeah, i really loved getting attention so i was like “okay! i’ll practice hard and give becoming a center at bighit a go!” so i sealed the deal with bighit and on my way to seoul, the song ‘blood, sweat and tears’ by the hyungs blew up 🧸 that’s when ‘bighit’ started getting really big and since i became a part of the debut line up as soon as i joined…i practiced like crazy and debuted 👤 your dad made the perfect judgement for his son and opened up the way for you 🧸 that’s right, i was really glad even with just the fact that he trusted me and sent me to seoul by myself

🧸 back when my dad used to race…the vehicle that i used to listen to abba and air supply in a lot, the artists you guys know i’ve always liked 🧸 that car was a big source of pride to me and back then, whenever it would make a vroom sound…even if it made a vroom sound from far away, all my friends would come running saying beomgyu’s dad is here 🧸 that’s how much pride i had in it 🧸 i was very little so i don’t remember what the reason was but there was a situation where my dad had to sell that car 🧸 so i greeted that car goodbye and i guess my dad was very upset about it because after i debuted, he asked around about that car and he brought it back home 🧸 my dad loved that car so much that he would wash it by hand even in the middle of winter and he used to very diligently do the car’s maintenance 🧸 but since that car was over 10 years old and it couldn’t be fixed again…the car had aged 🧸 so my dad saw that, was very hurt and sold the car again 🧸 i spoke to my father today too 🧸 being a good dad….i just need to watch my dad and learn

jihoon revealed he also got casted by jyp! 🐶 i actually failed the yg public audition.. 🐶 i auditioned and didn’t make it 🐶 i remember thinking, “ah, maybe it’s not my time yet.” 🐶 when i was in that mindset, thinking, “yeah, i guess i’m not ready yet,” there was some kind of dance competition or maybe just a dance event.. 🐶 i went there to dance, it was in busan, and that’s where i got casted by jyp 🐶 so i got a jyp casting offer, which was such an amazing thankful thing 🐶 i got the business card, went home, told my parents about it 🐶 but the thing is, i really really wanted to go to yg 🐶 i wanted to join yg so badly, so i didn’t go to the jyp audition 🐶 and then later, yg reached out to me again, i auditioned again, worked hard, and this time, i passed 🐶 i never joined, i didn’t even go to the audition (jyp) 🐶 because for me, it was always yg 🐶 i kept thinking, “i have to go to yg. i’m definitely going to yg. i need to go to yg. i’m going to debut at yg, no matter what.” 🐶 that desire was so strong in me. 🐶 ofc jyp is also an amazing company with so many incredible artists and i have friends there too 🐶 but for me, yg was always my number one choice

🧸 “how do you feel after getting lasik? is it good?” i’ll tell you guys this! before i got my tonsillectomy, i looked up a lot of vlogs and…a majority of people said that they felt like they were going to die so i was really worried before the surgery but i’m tolerant to pain so it was better than i excepted…my mom always made porridge for me so i ate that well too, ate it for every meal, took my medicines and left the humidifier on so…of course it hurt a bit because i got surgery but it wasn’t that bad 🧸 but after i got my lasik eye surgery, my eyes and nose were running for 6 hours straight and you know how your eyes really hurt when you make eye contact with the sun…like you tear up and your eyes hurt…it was that feeling for 6 hours straight like even if i had my eyes closed, it felt like the sunlight was inside my eyes and i was fighting it for 6 hours straight 🧸 so for the tonsillectomy, i couldn’t eat what i wanted and i couldn’t talk so that discomfort was the thing that was hard…it didn’t hurt but for the lasik eye surgery, my eyes really hurt a lot! the really fascinating thing though is that i was like “mom, this is so hard!!” for 6 hours and then i got tired of it so i fell asleep and when i woke up after 3 hours, i could see the world really well, i was fascinated and was like “mom!! it doesn’t hurt at all anymore and i can see things very well!!”

This MMA teacher is being criticized for his methods of teaching. While others are praising him for toughening up their kids. I don’t think he’s doing anything wrong, I think he’s doing it in a controlled manner and at no point is anybody upset about this. Even the child was happy with a sense of accomplishment when he was done. It definitely gave him bragging rights. I was doing my kata, it was afterschool and I was so tired already, I also didn’t get a chance to eat lunch that day and was feeling the effects of that. I wasn’t as sharp or quick as I normally was. I also forget a few of the motions in the routine as well. I remember it to this day, every time my arms weren’t where they were supposed to be, I got hit by a piece of bamboo, when my feet weren’t where they were supposed to be, got a strike to the leg. I wasn’t allowed to complain or wince or they would strike again. It made me focused no matter how I was feeling that day. In real life when things happen, they happen whether I am ready or not so now I finally understand what the lessons Sifu was trying to teach me.after going through all of this, I wouldn’t mind if my kid went through it, I want him to know what a strike feels like.

like. I can’t believe this happened to ME. I was so not expecting anything tonight of all nights. I can’t believe I got to tell my fave person about my fave song. this was a thing I’ve always wanted to do since the first time I heard it. and to see him so happy about it also
