Cats as a kid drank fish water. Youngest kitty never learned to drink from a regular bowl, so after the fish died, we had to use a small fish tank with no fish for poor Alliee.

Milo would lie on black plastic lid of fish tank, dangle paw in water through feeding hole - try to catch fish. Spent hours - never caught anything. One day heard what sounded like explosion from lounge. He had tipped lid and fell in water! Wires, tubes. water + fish everywhere!

If he’d have pulled that tank down, you could have lost all the fish and the tank and possibly the cat. Try putting it somewhere else.

The fish are his friends it looks like. A home aquarium has got to be the reason. He is being fed by an owner so he might not do what a cat would in the wild. I am glad he is friends with the fish!🐠🐱❤️✨

They have the oddest habits. Our cat had the full filtered water contraption but used to jump up into the bathroom sink and look at me like I was a war criminal until I set the water dripping at a rate she found pleasing and drink directly from the tap.
