Selling your product to a multinational corporation while likely keeping some equity stake and getting a seat on the board is how true wealth is created for everyone else. Why’s this an issue cause it’s black women?

There has to be a list of black owned products that are actually owned and operated by black people only. Once you sell out to white companies the black products are no longer good for black hair 😔. They leave out the original ingredients needed to keep our hair strong.

Tech companies do this all the time. Black people are the only ppl expected to stay with their company the whole time. Let them ppl exit the business and live their lives.

Lo’Real and Unilever are publicly traded companies. Literally anyone whining that the owners sold out could purchase stock. It’s also a little disingenuous to show the CEOs of the companies that bought them. Those folks don’t “own” the brands either.

You should always have an exit plan. Selling at the right time is key 🔑.

@MaiZuKitchen Caption should be “my light are on but no one is home” some people use businesses to escape the regular life. Good for those black women making their way to generational wealth.💪🏽
