I was told that we shouldn’t accept a charitable donation from AB because he supports the Republican Party and Donald J. Trump. I think both sides should support our work. Am I wrong for accepting donations from people because of different opinions?

Brother, I’m genuinely happy that people from all backgrounds recognize your value to the Black community. The folks upset about this are just mad because these donors disprove entirely the false narrative that MAGA and conservatives are inherently racist or want to hold back Black people. In reality, what’s being shown here is that people—regardless of their political affiliation—will support projects that empower Black people to become more self-sufficient and less reliant on others. This aligns perfectly with the values of conservatives, Republicans, and MAGA, emphasizing independence, entrepreneurship, and building strong communities. It’s great to see actions like this cutting through the noise and pushing back against those false narratives.
