Some of the men’s comments on here, justifying his intimidating, bullying behavior! Whether or not she cheated, no one should be bullied like this, especially someone that’s supposed to love you. It sounds like all she did was talk to somebody, had a “emotional affair”, according to him. He seems like a narcissistic gaslighter, and she’s probably struggling for her psychological survival in this abusive marriage. She handled it a lot better than I would have! She needs to get out of that marriage, let him file for divorce and let him think it’s his choice. That’s the only way to escape.

My husband used to do this to me all the time. I was NEVER unfaithful to him, not in any way. I proved it to him over and over and over. He would come to me with some of the most ridiculous things as “proof” that I was cheating… For example, when I was in the shower, he went through the call history on my phone (which was never locked and he always had full access to, because I didn’t have anything to hide). He found a phone number he didn’t recognize, so he called it and a guy answered. He didn’t even ask who the dude was, just jumped to the assumption that he was someone I was screwing around with. The call was MONTHS old. So, when I came out of the shower, he started screaming at me, showed me the number, and told me he had called the number and he “spoke to my boyfriend”. 🙄 So, I calmly took the phone, called the number again, from HIS phone, left it on speaker, and when the guy answered I told him his number was in my phone history and I couldn’t remember who it belonged to. He was the tow truck driver that had towed my car six months before when it broke down. Hubby felt really stupid for a few days, and then started looking for something else to convince himself that I was cheating. Everything he threw in my face as “proof”, I was able to disprove beyond doubt. I even went so far as to take a $600 lie detector test and the results were 100% that I had not cheated or been unfaithful in ANY way. The point I’m making is that if he WANTS to believe she’s cheating, he’s going to keep accusing her whether she actually is or not. He could be insane, he could be cheating on her and desperately wants a reason to justify it in his mind, he could just be an evil, abusive bastard.

Wow I can’t believe those girls said that about their dad. Toxicity all around here. But the fact she’s conditioning them like that is wild. Court mediators should see that if he gets a good lawyer.

Children are always watching and listening. They should never hear things like this.
