I hate every Flyers fan who wanted to trade him, or still wants to.

I really hope Matvei gets another chance to show the fans even the ones calling for a trade that he's still fully committed to Philly and still wants to win for this team and the fans

@RonoAnalyst Living in Philly, there is not one actual Flyers fan that wants him traded. All trade talk around this kid is media based. The actual local Flyers fan worships this kid

@theawfulgambler @RonoAnalyst There’s a section of Flyers Twitter that drag him and wants him traded. That section is also negative about everything the Flyers do. Real fans want him to succeed and have given him a pass for last year as long as he comes into camp in shape this year.

I actually translated this video a while back. But with all the hate Matvei was getting, I thought it would just fuel the fire. I hope this video breaks the image that the media has imposed on him that Matvey is careless, passive, and emotionless

I appreciate that. Idk if you're from Philly, but I haven't seen much of those criticisms myself on social media or elsewhere. He's largely loved here and I hope we get to see him grow here. He's a special player and person.

Anyone, including the media and his coach, who is bullying him publicly should watch this and realize the human side of what this kid has went through. I’m sure to an extent he feels responsible for his dad’s death. That has to be extremely hard to deal with

Awe this is so awesome to see. I love Mich, I was so happy when we drafted him. I think he is amazingly talented. I'm not worried about last year, I think he will be a superstar. So glad he is a Philadelphia Flyer!

The flyers coach is a shame.

this means so much to see as flyers fans. People have started to forget the kid we drafted and were SO hopeful for, and only see him how media portrays him. I adore Matvey, i would consider myself one of his biggest fans, and the way people treat him now breaks my heart.

Briere needs to bite the bullet and admit he made a mistake hiring our current coach… We made the playoffs in spite of him, not because of him, and really because of the exceptional play from vlady.
