I watched this countless times…. Michael Jackson’s tap dancing isn't spoken about enough. The versatility this man has is INSANE.

Like even tho he hated doing this Variety Show I felt it’s one of those blessings in disguise it show how MJ wasn’t boxed into any dancing style and he could adapt seamlessly! Which is why he is the only musician inducted into the Dance Hall Of Fame.👑✨🌟

Legend

He still is a Legend!!!

Forever a legend = "Michael"

You are making me fall inlove with him all over again 😭

I love him toooooo much

I'm a long time Michael Jackson fan, but I have never seen either one of these performances. I didn't know that he could tap dance. Although I'm not surprised considering he loved watching Fred Astaire.

He was awesome There’s a lot of him we haven’t still discovered even

He fused so many dance styles into his own.

On so many levels; Elvis wasn’t fckn w/ Mike Jack

This is why I simply chuckle when people try to compare “you know who” to him. Yes, Michael Jackson was the King of Pop, but his raw talent was bigger than any one genre and he was a lifelong voracious student of the arts. He literally never stopped learning and evolving.

Él era autodidacta, aprendió mirando a sus ídolos y copiando sus pasos desde niño, de forma intuitiva. Practicaba mucho para perfeccionarse

Now, you have my attention. Oldies🥺🥺🥺

@nnakwe_mathias Good old days He was awesome

He was very highly trained in the art of dancing and performance. Never be another human being like him

Holy cow, I didn't know he could tap (not surprised though). This must be from around the time of The Wiz.

The Jackson’s variety show

His panther dance at the end of the Black Or White video doesn't get talked bout enough. That's where you fully see his jaw dropping tap skills.

Find out more spectacular details about Michael in the social media era is so 🤌🏽

Michael's spin was untouchable btw Look at how fast he does it and for like three complete rotations and then he snaps back into whatever move he does next like it's nothing. So smooth.

On the Jacksons variety show he actually danced with Bill Bojangles Robinson and the Nicholas Brothers

MJ adored and was a big fan of Fred Astaire and shows in his music videos.

yes he was considered one of the greats and had a huge career, but i still hate how we can literally work miracles and still have our talent taken for granted.

This!!!! The world took him for granted

@MitchhctaM We would’ve seen more performances like this, but they canceled the one album that he really wanted to do his Charlie Chaplin stuff in

His signature Tapdance move

That’s Fred Astaire level talent! I had no idea he could do that!!

If this was before 1980, Astaire was still around at the time, Gene Kelley, and definitely Gregory Hines. He could have collaborated with them.

When did he learn to tap?

Imagine how complex it is doing those taps and spinning around without falling down ...I would've been seeing stars 😵‍💫🫨

He did a ton of tap in the panther dance scene at the end of the Black or White video. You see elements of ballet in some of his dance movies in the Bad video. He could do it all.

He could do any style of dancing. That's why comparing him is ridiculous

Wow! I’ve never seen this footage before. Michael Jackson’s talents seemingly had no bounds. Gone too soon. But his legacy will never die. Pure genius.

マイケルはエンタメ界の王

I went to tap dancing classes and discovered it is not as easy as the likes of Michael Jackson makes it look here.

Amazing!!! And that jump at the end of it 🙌🏾

I mean, was there anything he couldn’t do on a stage? Probably the most talented human being to ever live lol

@Lovemygrowth Foundational Black American Freedmen Excellence #FBA #Freedmen #BlackExcellence #MichaelJackson 🇺🇸

I had no idea he did tap also..... just makes him so much more legendary, unique wow

It's so nice to see Michael come back around where he deserves to be!
