Look, let's not pretend like 90% of why people love Maul isn't because he looks rad af, (he was) unique, and he had a cool lightsaber. I do wish Lucas wouldn't have removed so much of his stuff from Ep1 but it is what it is. Looking awesome goes a long way in fandoms.

That's why I like Mauls ending. He never grew past his original focus. He wanted to kill a Jedi it was an obsession for him. When he lost to Kenobi, it became his lifelong goal to kill Kenobi. When he finally finds him, he is no better than when they fought the first time.

Boggles the mind that so many folks take the time to hate on MAUL when Obi Wan Kenobi has TWO CHANCES… TWO CHANCES… to KILL… Darth Vader and he didn’t do it. No greater failure than that!

Even when Maul killed Obi-Wan’s love,he still didn’t turn to the dark side. And that is exactly why he’s my Favorite

Not true. The Clone Wars writers wanted to kill Maul vs Sidious during their duel, Lucas said no to that so Maul lived. Later on, Lucas even planned to make Maul the main Sequel Trilogy villain but Disney didn't accept that and chose Sidious as the main villain instead.
