That's not true. She recorded this for fun. Planet Her Deluxe was already at this point. She released this on her soundcloud just like the other songs she recorded in-between her other albums.

It did get cleared. He said he wasn’t doing music anymore and didn’t care what she did with it. She just chose not to commercially release it
