Thank you Meghan. It's a problem not just with trans prisoners but with trans changing name & 'gender' allowing them to circumnavigate DBS / Disclosure Scotland / PVG checks. Very worrying.

I am unsure this is the case! The PNC/SCRO links are know previous names and aliases in their database. The CHS cannot be circumvented this way!

Good luck with that - what a dangerous and frankly unbelievable thing to do. Every petty criminal ( and not so petty) will be buying wigs and lipstick.

Good luck. It’s a shocking disgrace and a mockery of criminal justice if you can erase your past, reoffend and be considered a first timer. Also if you’re in prison and your offence is ‘erased’ are you free to leave?

Do doctors still get a clean slate when they change gender?

Let me guess “these are operational matters for the police and prison service and therefore, I’m sure you’ll agree, it would be wrong for the government to interfere.”🙄
