Disagree, the doctor mention is tremendously explicit in stating penumbra will not happen in deltarune. Considering he went out of his way to say that in the anniversary livestream with all of us watching, there is literally no other way to interpret it.

I feel that Penumbra Phantasm in Deltarune will be a song similar to the one in Homestuck, which you can deduce is a tribute, since it has similar motifs but won't use the doctor's motif. Like, we have very similar and relevant motifs like the holly & sanctaury motif

The musical "shape" is similar but it's not the same. Penumbra Phantasm is a Homestuck song composed of Homestuck melodies and is referenced and teased throughout Homestuck, and would not exist without Buzinkai's "Doctor". It will not be in Deltarune, as Toby has stated.

I'm like 99% sure that the Sanctuary motif is basically going to be a replacement for what COULD potentially be Penumbra which is why they sync so well together, but on the other hand it COULD also just be a coincidence which isn't THAT far off the table all things considered
