James treats Angela with much more empathy than everyone else. In the official SH2 novel he quickly understood her trauma even though she never told him, and he always excused her aggression because he understood her pain. An example is this scene. He knows she feels unwanted and says he's happy to see her (unlike her mother who didn't want to see her) because he wants to bring her some comfort. He also suggests they should leave the town together, even though he hasn't found Mary. He never suggested the same to Laura, even though she's a child and she's alone. Angela brings out a much more "human" and empathetic side of James that he doesn't show to any other character, not even to Laura or Mary. It's as though he recognizes something of himself in her. #silenthill #silenthill2 #silenthill2remake

So it wasn’t just about the myth.. they knew each other in this timeline before everything else..and when Sylus found her again and saved her after all the experiments, he left. Gave her space to bloom on her own. To grow up. But he built an empire for her. He waited for her to find HIM when she was ready because they share the same soul. Even prepared a special meal just for her.. That is precisely why he called his love the purest of all in Razor’s grip. Selfless love is extremely rare. Usually when you love someone you’re driven by your own desire to have that person so technically you’re doing it for yourself. This is the most common type of love too. For Sylus it’s ALL about her even if he suffers and doesn’t get to have her for himself. He will never push himself into her life and he will always let her make that first step to deepen their relationship. And if she doesn’t want to.. he would let her go. He will never stop loving her.. but she has always been more important to him than his own feelings. I can’t even imagine in how much pain he was when she finally sought him out but not for the reason he thought she would. And not only that, he learned she is repulsed by him. Makes this already heartbreaking reaction even more painful. His heart must have shattered into a million pieces.. And suddenly the pain in his eyes in this scene and a deep breath he takes at the end when he lets go of her hand..probably to not crash out in front of her, hits so much harder.. 😭 Because they were taken from each other TWICE in the past.. and now.. he was losing her again.. for the third time.. she looked at him and saw a monster.. his poor heart.. I’m happy that MC is learning to trust him and is slowly regaining her memories so that she can truly come back to him. No matter how long it takes, he will wait for her. ❤️ Their slowburn is peak. ❤️
