I will never understand how fentanyl is enjoyable.

Fentanyl is not what’s enjoyable. It’s the release of pain from emotional suffering that gives the user peace. Until it doesn’t. If you’re not an addict it’s not for you to understand. 9 years- we can and do recover.

I watched my mom struggle with it for 5 years, which landed her in rehab twice. She’s been to hell and back and took us all with her, so it’s kind of a sensitive topic in my house.

@FreedomMagaUS Get over it. Support your mother or walk away. You have a choice.

@14CaponeNerft @FreedomMagaUS Well she has dementia today, so really hard to “support” what she did to herself. 🤡

Following a recent spinal fusion surgery, the nurse in recovery said she could give me fentanyl to reduce the pain if I needed it. Of course I said “do it” and she administered the drug. Thr almost immediate effect of the drug was indescribable so it’s easy to see how people get addicted to it.

Yeah, my mom was on fentanyl patches for 5 years because of fibromyalgia. They made her feel better, but had lots of side effects (constipation, nausea, headaches, slow reaction time). Now she’s 77 with dementia, so who knows what the long term effects of fent are.

@cogrumpyvet You know what's weird about fibromyalgia? From roughly 2010 to 2020, half my extended family was claiming to have debilitating fibromyalgia and pounding opioids for the pain. Weirdly, no one talks about it that much anymore. You just triggered a memory.

@cogrumpyvet It was a very popular diagnosis in the early 2000’s.

Warmth. Immediate. Indiscriminate. A slow, golden heat spreading through your veins, like honey poured into cold water. The city noise in your skull Gone Your thoughts blur. Soften. The past loses its teeth. There is only this moment thick, slow, wrapped in velvet.

I understand why my mom liked it so much. She had a lot of trauma.

@Madnessofword Still doesn’t make it right

@Madnessofword Of course not.

The hospital gave me fentanyl after I tore a rib muscle, it was fucking glorious. If you’ve never felt the warm blanket of opioids wrap itself around you, you’ll never understand.

@SenorChucho13 Opiates nearly killed my mom. She did two stints in rehab. I think I’m ok, thanks.

@SenorChucho13 Then how do you even ask this question? If ANYONE should understand you should. Be better.

@SenorChucho13 Because I don’t understand why she robbed herself of many years through addiction, and destroyed our relationship. Why is this hard for you? No drug is worth that.

@MamaScoobiJ @SenorChucho13 “Because it feels good” isn’t a valid reason to off yourself.

Put the phone down and so you help her. And she all over the internet being viewed as junkie , so you’re doing more harm than good but hey anything for views and clicks.pathetic

I don't understand how most drugs are enjoyable. I hate the feeling of being out of control of your mind and body

Addiction is from trauma and fentanyl kills the pain it's easy to explain but you are right, you will never understand.

I understand how it “kills the pain,” because I’ve seen it firsthand. But it kills the user in the process, which isn’t really a good trade off.

@JoeyPeters30632 if you understood how it kills the pain, then you’d understand why the trade-off isn’t a big deal.

@JoeyPeters30632 Reread what you just typed.

People would do just about anything to feel less alive

Then you've never tried it. People use it to death, quite literally. The feeling is worth dying for, apparently.

Yeah, I watched it almost kill my mom, so again, not it sure why people do this.

I'm not used to seeing drug addicts with clean clothes and clean socks n shit How you hop out the shower get fully dressed and then take the worst drugs of all time

So sad, even rich people deal with addiction 🥲

What's happening here

I mean, that’s probably enjoyable but don’t do it in public

And you won’t Addiction is a disease sadly only people that went thru it will understand Maybe not post a video of someone else you don’t even know clearly that girl is going thru some

My mom was an addict who went to rehab twice, tried to kill herself and my dad. She went to hell and back and took us with her. So please spare me the “you don’t understand” lecture.

Have you been in there shoes ? No my dad passed away from that shit also girl pls but you don’t understand it you understand from your pov but not there’s

I lived it bitch.

Most people arent choosing to do fent, it's laced into EVERYTHING on the street now.

Which is a choice.

@LHPPenguin Taking fentanyl against your will is not a fucking choice, no.

@LHPPenguin Taking any drug is a choice. If it’s laced with fentanyl, that’s a risk you must be willing to take, right?

@bakuvents @LHPPenguin yea thank you U.S government for making it hard as fuck to open dispensaries for things like weed so we have clean access to it!

@bakuvents @LHPPenguin Not hard. We’ve been doing in Colorado since 2014.

It’s causing the body to do a full dopamine drip and then some, the high is so profound that it’s relaxing the body so much that it’s also shutting down. It’s extremely close to The Euthanasia Coaster. Withdraw symptoms stay in body up to 6 months after last use. It is a bio chemical reaction. At this point, morphine is just Tylenol.

Taking drugs will never be the solution to any problem, just avoid it cause it's gonna cause more harm to you

My dude I'm in my mid 30's if I spend any longer than 5 minutes in one given position I won't be able to move in that direction for a week.

She looks exactly like my Ex that haven’t seen in years, I hope to god this isn’t her!

This is tranq dope concoction by the way. Fentanyl doesn’t make you do this. Xylazine does. Addicts didnt ask for this shit. Remember. Most got addicted during the opiate crisis doing professional pharmacy made pills. The shit going on today is night and day from that.

The synth opiates aren't fun, they're addictive. Normal people without training will get hooked by a doctor's prescription, it's chemical warfare.

It’s because it releases high amounts of dopamine and is 50 times stronger than morphine as a pain reliever

Agree. Ive had it as a sedative for medical procedures & thank God my mom was with me bc after I woke up I can't even remember my own name much less anything the doctor tells me for about 45 minutes afterwards.

Enjoyment has nothing to do with it.

Then why do it?

Addiction

Not to start with. Why try it at all?

Consider yourself fortunate that you have never needed to numb yourself that much.

It’s not about enjoyment. It’s about blacking out and not having to feel anything.

That looks like a lot of fun 💀

At least she got that fake Gucci bag 🤣

People on that fent ain't looking for enjoyment, slick. They looking for oblivion.

They shot me up with some fentanyl before I got my colonoscopy, it was very enjoyable. I can see why it's so addictive.
People should start carrying Narcan so they can RUIN these people's high.

There’s nothing “enjoyable” about it, it’s just addiction.

I am pretty sure this is Scotland or Robeson county NC. The cashier sounds Lumbee and it’s absolutely sad how bad the drugs are getting down there

This is why I can't get my Xanax... Junkies

That woman thought she was doing a perk does she look like someone who is doing fentanyl every day cmon now wtf
