The behavior in these two videos is awfully.. odd (and unfortunately something I have seen before). As someone who grew up with addicts and has had most of her life touched by addicts, this behavior is concerning. In the first video clip, he takes 7 hits in the matter of 1 minute and 15 seconds. That's not the normal smoking weed behavior or "taking a few hits to get the edge off". In my opinion, from my experiences with addicts, that is classic need-to-get-high-now behavior. Typical weed smokers take a few hits and chill.. take their time. This is not that. He seems anxious and in a rush. He's not a teenager trying to hide his pipe from his parents. This is a grown man with a career and child. Was he rushing because he wasn't supposed to be doing it? Maybe. But that doesn't explain the need to get absolutely blazed as quickly as he could with a newborn in the house.. and this same pattern is seen on video after video. This behavior would align also with the allegations Kelsey listed recently in probate court documents. If in fact he was using other substances, taking a shit ton of hits as fast as he did could explain that. An addicts brain can be a complicated one, however, once you recognize the pattern you'll see it clear as day.

You do not have a past-self living within your mind or body. You only exist in this moment at the age you currently are with all that you've lived through. No part of you is a child. You cannot heal the 6-year-old self who was neglected. That neglect was very real if that's something you experienced. The pain you feel from that neglect, it matters and it's real. But only the 25 or 32 or 45 or 56-year-old self staring back at you in the mirror can actually be healed. And she can't be healed by you. The self cannot be both the problem and the solution. It's actually a power outside of you that can heal you as you are right now. Namely, it is the God who created you, who alone has the power to heal you and to help you. And yes, He speaks to you as His daughter, no matter your age, but not as a toddler. He sees and cares about your childhood, but He communicates to you as the adult you are, not as the baby that you were. The Christian approach to trauma is compassion. Yes, absolutely. But it is also the difficult Holy Spirit empowered work of finding our worth in Christ and forgiving those who have wronged us. This is where true liberation is found. It is not found from self-discovery and self-love. No amount of speaking to your inner child, which doesn't actually exist, will lead you down a path of lasting fulfillment. Counseling, in light of that truth, can be helpful and healing for the Christian, but no borrowing of New Age psychology will do.

This man’s wife went into labor while in his truck so he sped up to get to the nearest hospital. Apparently, the Holmes county sheriff caught him and pulled him over as he was entering the hospital parking lot . The man explained the situation about his wife, and the sheriff’s reply was instead of speeding you should’ve pulled over and waited for the EMT to come.. The sheriff proceeded to give him a ticket once he got to the hospital instead of an escort . You can hear his frustration in the video. He’s not getting violent with the sheriff, but he is telling him off and in this case I agree this sheriff was completely out of line. Did the man break the speeding law,? sure he did, but he had a good reason. Obviously, this sheriff is in the minority, I believe most cops would have escorted this gentleman, and his wife to the hospital and got them checked in properly to make sure that she was OK, but like any other profession, there’s good and bad.. and this is an example of an extremely bad decision on the sheriffs part in my opinion.
