Loop over items is gold, especially when you have a platform that will force you to upgrade to batch process any runs..

when I used an API that the rate limit was really small, I understood how powerful it is.. cause the initial workflow was just hitting rate limit cause it was processing over 50 items at a go..

Imagine there was nothing like split in batches

Btw, I think this will answer a question in someone's mind. He actually used 2 Google sheets, one for the order and another for the price list, mapped the important data together with the set node. I just thought about it that someone might be wondering where is the price from.

I once used the loop over item node to send emails but hit my limit because it kept resending some. Then a wrong email broke the workflow and it just kept looping. Took a while to fix. Thanks for breaking it down

i hope i get an answer though i thought n8n handles the loops automatically? why is there a need for this? and for rate limits, does this loop node add some kind of delay before processing?

n8n doesn't handle the loop automatically.. what ever number of items that goes in will be processed at the same time, which can cause rate limit.. and it does add some few seconds delay..
