Those animators were a lot more lazy than I was led to believe as a kid.

They used the same footage for rotoscoping in multiple movies. Helped keep costs down. Animation is expensive.

I'm not saying the matrix is not real however, back before CGI and such, everything was hand drawn and repeated several times so as to have to physically draw less. 🤔

It’s just cheap to reuse animations and they fit. They aren’t secretive about this.

It probably saved a lot of time tracing over the old animations, as opposed to inventing new ones. The artists had no computers to do the work for them, they had to physically paint these scenes cel by cel, and there were 100s of thousands of cels per movie.
