I think it is in every boy's nature to make weapons. Honestly that looks dope! Making weapons isn't bad. How those weapons are used is the question. Fathers, it's your job to teach your boys how to respect life.

As a mom to a boy, he’s not wrong. She’s just glossing over that her child made something that he could take to school/anywhere and hurt someone. It’s not cute and it’s definitely not okay.

My parents never allowed toy guns when I was little. Reason? We had real guns, plenty of them. They reinforced that firearms are not toys at a very early age. If I wanted to shoot, my father would take me to the woods or the range any time I liked. But never toy guns.

BB gun fights, bottle rocket fights, home made dart wars, every guy I knew did this stuff when we were kids. The difference? I’m gen X. We did this down in the woods or a vacant lot where mom couldn’t see us. We weren’t trapped in a house with our weapons of mass destruction.

This isn't a sign of anything, that guy is just a weenie.

I am willing to bet most of the people overreacting to this video have also allowed their kids to watch the movie Home Alone, or any of a dozen shows where the kids build traps and weapons to take on cartoonish threats. Kids marinate in whatever you expose them to.

Every boy does this. We used to make ninja stars with sheet metal and snips in shop class while the shop teacher was "getting a coffee". You're gonna be pissed when the aliens come and you need strong men to protect you, only to realize you henpecked them all right into theythems.
