Generator mechanic here. 90 percent of current and few years old generators are barely noticeable with noise. Jealously is always a factor in these situations 👌

I would buy a very old pre smog diesel genset and adjust the injection pump so streams of black smoke would billow from the exhaust stack, aimed at the HOA community of course.

Actually, this does highlight something that peppers should be very aware of: a large signature during a crisis event. If you make yourself too visible, that you have abilities/supplies which others don't have, you paint a target on yourself. Not wise. Just a thought.

A friend of mine who is a retired marine would just go and visit each member of the HOA at their home whenever he got a complaint. For some reason the complaints always went away. 🤔😁

Maybe they should write to Generac and ask them to stop selling whole house generators. I’m sure they’ll understand. I would tell my neighbors to eat multiple hot bags of shit before I entertained a bullshit complaint like that.

Yep! I ran my Christmas lights during a two day outage last year. Some of my neighbors were less than thrilled. I also loaned out two suitcase generators AND fuel to some friends, so I’m not totally cruel. Don’t get pissy because you failed to plan ahead.

I would take my guitar amp, crank it up to 11nty, and force them to listen to many poorly played solos (cause I'm a bassist).
