Put a flat or matt clear over it just the way it is and drive it till the wheels fall off.

And then put em back on again and start over!

I had a 1963 version of that, with a 292 V8 With the crossover manifold. Huge PTO winch up front, 2 saddle tanks with the tank behind the bench seat. 1200 mile cruise range between fill ups. Did a 78 hrs non stop from Alaska to California in it. Great truck!

sacrilege! Comet scrub the patina to knock off thick rust then use one of the numerous patina sauces over all of it!

I’d like one of those. California just passed the newest version of vehicles that don’t need smog. This would now qualify. I think it goes to 1981 now or something instead of 76.

This is an awesome truck! Personally, I woud clear coat the rust with stain or flat, encapsulate it and keep it as part of the truck (unless its rusting thru in places). Love it. Basic. It doesn't have a nanny cam. It won't decide that you are in a bad mood and not start etc.
