This is some gay ass millennial fantasy that didn’t happen.

I'll take 'things that never happened' for $500, Alex

The worst part is that this is a skit and she played this off like some sort of office badass but comes off looking like a dork.

“Why aren’t women taken seriously in the workplace?” Example number 46382735

A: This isn't real B: God damn she's ugly

imagine having to work with someone like this

I wouldn’t, they would be fired

The uptalk is infuriating after the first instance she’d be fired and I’d probably have her blacklisted

CN, “this is an ad promoting sprout” Me. “I’m still firing your ass if you talk and act like this regardless of what platform you applied through.”

She’s talking to AI but there really is no need to have cameras on. It’s distracting. Zoom calls are counterproductive. Just call me

You’re reacting to an ad/promo post for Sprout. A bad one. I mean, think about it- sprout is supposed to land you great jobs. Yet this girl says ‘when I applied through Sprout…’ I had to block these guys on my Instagram feed. They’re so annoying.

Fake, but in the corporate world, you cannot fire anyone "on the spot". Sadly.

This skit was most likely staged. However, it's a good representation of Gen Z and how their entitled mentality. They believe that their 4 year degree in underwater basket weaving entitles them to a multiple 6 figure job while only working 32 hrs per week. 🙄

This is an ad. You're sharing an ad. Also, awful ad, awful "actress" and stupid premise. How to get fired 101.

“Let’s just move on”= grab your red stapler and move your desk into the basement.

The upper inflection at the end of every sentence is so mind-numbing

So many retards in these replies fam. Theres absolutely 0 objective reasons to have to turn ypur camera on. Goyem just likes retarded rules for no reason

Obviously staged, but I kinda get where she's coming from. What do webcams provide for most remote work? Webcams do not make spread sheets. They don't fill in data. They don't write code. They don't solve equations. Why do you need to see me for that?

Does no one remember conference calls pre-covid? We used phones and audio only lines and it worked just fine.

obviously fake but for the point of discussion....she's fired Im happy to go to HR and dismiss her for insubordination. He's the boss, perhaps he feels, meetins are more productive with eye contact...or so that he, as the boss, can see that she isnt in her bed or poolside.

Yeah. No need to have the camera on. The meeting is probably unnecessary anyway.

Protip for the kids: If the boss says the cameras are on, they're on - you don't argue it. This chick just put herself on the next layoff list, guaranteed. She will also be the unspoken reason for forced RTO of the whole team in the meantime.

some melodrama ass ragebait

The reason people want their camera off is so they can play around with a dozen other things and give 10% of their attention to the meeting. So her sitting there in a grey hoodie and being preoccupied with getting her drink just right is ironically why the rule exists😏

I don't turn my camera on, ever. There's zero need for it. I've also got the built in camera on my laptop covered with a post it note taped over it so the camera can't be activated remotely to see me. Get fucked. We can do our jobs without being spied on.

The no camera crew is part of the reason everyone is losing work from home and being replaced by AI.

i’ve been working remote for four years and always wear a collared shirt and do my hair, we’re not required to be on camera for internal meetings but client facing we are. And sometimes clients just randomly call me on teams video chat (I work in IT)

In the UK, an employer can lawfully require that you enable your webcam during meetings as it's deemed a 'reasonable management request' and refusing would potentially be a disciplinary matter. Video on allows for richer communication, non-verbal communication cues and also the ability to ensure that folks are engaged and paying attention. "But we managed on phones just fine" - yeah when all we had were phones and video conferencing was rare/expensive. Video conferencing is now the norm. Want to be an NPC? Cope harder. Of course, there should be exceptions, e.g. working from home after a medical procedure and you have a condition, injuries or dressings that you'd reasonably not want to display.

Obvious female power play fantasy fake video. But how ironic that a woman like this is OK with recording on camera for tiktok, but won't do it for her boss.

so you wont turn camera on for work. but have a camera on you constantly. yeah that makes sense. hate this fake bitch stuff of people trying to get famous. keep the camera off ur ugly ass

In the real world Companies don’t give a fuck that you bring up HR. Why ? Because HR isn’t to help the employees, it’s to help the company deal with the employees. Employers will threaten you with HR more than you ever will as an employee.

100% fake, she would be fired, no one tolerates stupid bitches trying to feel smart while using glasses for decor.

Why do millennials and gen-z's think this kind of shitty attitude is a win? What do you gain by being difficult? She might "win" this round, but in the end her boss (now an irritated boss) can make things difficult for her in ways she can't know.
