I would love to hear the conversation between ref and VAR that resulted in this not being given.

@TheMarkGordon Never a penalty. He purposely dives into his leg.

I’m not saying it was or wasn’t but I’d like to hear the conversation as to why. Possible penalties get reviewed so was it no foul, outside area.

@TheMarkGordon I’m not sure that’s a penalty, however if a rangers player went down like that I can near gurantee it would be looked at

I’m not sure either, just seeing the ref talk immediately into his headset, I would like to have heard the full conversation.

He was looking for it but that doesn’t mean if shouldn’t be given.

@TheMarkGordon @007bhoy Because Hayes threw himself over and was going down before he made contact with the leg. He did a terling job of impersonating Ryan Kent. Other angles, especially head on show how blatant it was. Lucky he wasn't booked for simulation.

@TheMarkGordon @czm3 VAR would check it, but would only communicate with on field ref if they thought clear and obvious error had been made. From the footage, it looks blindingly obvious why it wasn’t given.
